Research Publishing of Psychological Horror

In this blog I will be talking about the publishing of psychological horror.

To publish psychological horror the publisher has to target their target audience. The audience they are targeting is mainly an audience that craves intense suspense, emotional dread, and metal conflicts rather than gore. When publishing psychological horror, the publishes their media on key markets like horror magazines or self-publishing platforms. They also try targeting publishers to get their product out to a bigger demographic.

   THE MENTAL

A very important aspect of horror is the way it makes you think whenever you are watching psychological horror. When you are watching psychological horror, it is as if you are trying to solve a mystery. In psychological horror you question everything you see because is out of the ordinary in psychological horror they try to focus on the mental aspect and make everything you see uncomfortable and eerie; it creates a creepy aspect that messed with your mind.

   THE EMOTIONAL

The difference between regular horror and psychological horror is. Regular horror focuses more deeply on the thrill and the gore other horror genres use jump scares as main way to scare the viewer and they use a high amount of gore to scare the viewer they also use slashers or monsters chasing the characters as a way or scaring. Meanwhile psychological horror is more about making the viewer feel something. Unlike in regular horror where they use dread and tension to build up suspense in psychological horror they use your emotions and how they made u feel about the character and it brings u be more scared.
