Research successful script writings in psychological horror

In this blog I will be talking about successful script writings in psychological horror and some of my favorites.

First ill be talking about my personal favorite psychological horror with one of the best script writings in my opinion is "Get Out". "Get Out" is a psychological horror film which the script writing is extremely suspenseful. His script writing perfectly adds fear with suspense and eeriness without using gore. The movie amazingly uses the mental stability of the main character. The main character sanity lowers as he discovers more secrets of his girlfriend a really good way the make the sanity of the main character questioned even more is when they made the main character watch everything happen around him with out being able to do anything. One of the best scenes in when they left him all alone in the dark void that added the feeling of him being all alone. The script writing uses a lot of small aspects that add suspense.

Some of the best aspects that make a successful script writing successful are:

Atmosphere Over Jump Scares

A eerie and creepy atmosphere is a really important aspect to make it a successful script writing. A psychological horror movie that focus mainly on jump scares and not the atmosphere will not be as good as a psychological horror movie that focuses mainly on the atmosphere.

Internalized Conflict

When the psychological horror films focus on internalized conflict it always makes the script writing so much better. The horror coming from the characters mind, emotions and isolation makes it have a feeling other films can not give.

Slow Burn Pacing

The tension building up slowly is a extraordinary skill that makes the script writing in psychological horror so much better. The build up and tension makes the climax so much better it makes you anxious and nervous.
